The GPAS mission shifts away from more traditional trainee exchange, equipment donation, and clinical service delivery models and instead focuses on projects in locally identified priority areas to improve emergency, surgical, and perioperative care capacity in resource-poor settings. At the present time, the GPAS collaboration is focused on projects primarily in Uganda:

• Improved Prehospital Infrastructure
• Increased collaborative research
• Increased harmonization
